Still no 3G ease of availability
"Verizon and Motorola have removed the option under Mobile Network Settings to switch to “CDMA Only” in the Ice Cream Sandwich update that is headed to RAZRs over the next few days. For anyone that doesn’t have a RAZR MAXX, this is a problem, as LTE destroys batteries faster than you can charge them. In place of the former “CDMA Only” option is a “Global” feature for those that travel the world. Why they didn’t leave the old option and simply add “Global” to the list is a mystery. "

I have the RAZR w ICS VZ update and NO 3G. I applied fix as shown in this link, but it!s not comstant.

Are you using Smart actions to kill data and use wifi where it is available?
Located in N/E Pa. Have three(3) Razrs. My two sons have had their Razr and Maxx for several months before me. They have both received the update (got their phones same day several months ago, one has a Razr and the other has a Maxx) I got my phone 4-5 months later (Maxx) I have not received the update yet. We all live in the same house.
BUT, this is a soak or random OTA Update, Really? Random, don't think so. Soak, neither of them were signed up or new of a Moto website, I am registered.
Anybody want to recite the "Answer" to how this is going?

Yes, I am. I don't care what happens when phone not in use, Smartactions take over. My issue is when phone is used, and I can get by with 3G because of need to save battery. FYI. ICS 4g major drain so far. Twittering doesn't need 4g connection, as far as I am concerned. If anyone can help, or is seeing the same issue of no 3G Moto and VZ are nuts. How many folks require global vs 3G options......????
