If there are many bugs found in the soak test, wouldn't it take them time to fix them up? That could take another couple of weeks..that's the worst case scenario:blink:
OK... you know the leaks that are going around? Chances are that the latest leak is what will be tested by whomever they have do the testing.. and whenever it happens.
That being said, I'm pretty confident that moto has taken care to avoid another gb fiasco...
We all want ics, and it is coming soon. Its right in front of us.. just be patient a bit longer people
Good things come to those who wait.
DROID RAZR MAXXIMIZED!!!! PREPARE TO BE VANQUISHED!!!
By the time it goes to soak, it's been tested thoroughly by Verizon and Motorola. The soak is just one last line of defense before OTA. In most cases, OTA goes off without a hitch and it's the soak version. There is very little risk that the version soaked will be pulled and no OTA, but if so, it will be a very quick turnaround to address a newly discovered glitch, and the new soak will start very shortly after.
Odds are HEAVILY leaning toward an OTA immediately following soak and that it will be the soak version. Just my .02.
Did they add the capability to switch from LTE/CDMA to CDMA only on 211? I don't live in a 4G area and being able to turn LTE off is a HUGE battery saver.

Good. Hope so. I was thinking what I had seen only showed an option for basically both on or both off... not one or the other. Which seemed to me that it would be the same as just putting the phone in Airplane mode, right? So it kinda didn't make sense. Hope you're right about it!

Great observation, but to understand where the leaks come from, they're off of servers hosted by Motorola to allow access to Developers and Beta testers, and are accessed by a utility with a name that rhymes with Breezecake. The reason we see these leaks is because the "breezecake" utility is out in the public now and so unauthorized users who have access to that utility use it to pull down the official "test" versions of the OS. These are signed (meaning official), and so can be installed on any phone with a valid OS, but like many have discovered, they may not be the final version and some can not be reversed once in stalled.
Installing leaks is not for the faint of heart and CAN result in fully bricking your phone. It can also kick you off of the OTA upgrade path with no known way to return, so you may not be able to eventually install the official released version once it drops. Unless you have a phone that you can afford to lose, it's suggested that you don't risk the potential consequences.
