ICS this week?

Why i think there is no soak test. Only ota. Ics is a whole new os not an update. If there was bugs in it there is no easy to go back to ginger bread. So lets say they found bugs and address them on ota. They would have to make 2 ots with the fixes. One for three people on gingerbread and the other for the soak testers. I feel they wouldn't go into all this trouble. Might a well release the ota and patch it if it has any bugs.

You're assuming something that may not be true...

Thanks God. I avoid DROID 2 last year , but HTC didn't do any better. Especially, with original droid incredible getting buggy gingerbread update. my old incredible randomly reset itself after 5 min of use.

Verizon and HTC truly ruined my experience with that phone.

Yes there was a pop up asking for install i guess it downloaded over night. Since i restored my phone from the original ics to .181 i couldnt screen shot.

If you read far enough back in this thread you'll realize this is the soak test. Several people on this thread have flat out send they got the update and they can't say more because of their confidentiality agreement. So that means soak. A few others have mentioned in previous soak tests a few random people got the update that weren't signed up for soak.

and if YOU go far enough back in the thread you will see there are also people that got the OTA who haven't signed up for MFN let alone did the soak survey.

There are always people who aren't a part of the soak test that get the update during the soak.

If you didn't sign up , and you didn't agree to keep confidential, and they just pushed it out to you, then you have no obligation to keep this to yourself. Share all you want, it is a free world.

All that does is reset you're phone, you cant work around their algorithm. It may have been your turn...lucky
