ICS this week?

I may have missed this somewhere, but does it make a difference if I am on WiFi or 3g/4g? I have my phone on Wi-Fi at home, which is most of the time. I know there is some functionality problems if you are not on 3g/4g data... Maybe I should shut off my Wi-Fi?

I know you can download the update via wi-fi - just wondering about the notifications?

Did the last batch of people that got the notification get the update the same day?

I believe a lot of the soak people got it late at night or next morning after the message

When I do a manual check got update it tells me that check for update not available at this time. What does this mean? Server load possibly?

It is probably overloaded right now with ppl trying to manually pull the update. Mine says it is up to date right now though

It just means that it's not available from your device. It always says that from time to time, regardless of whether there's a pending update or not. So, there's no conclusions to draw from it.

Looking back through the thread, it appears that people started getting the "you'll be updated to ICS in about a week" notification about 12:00 PST on the 22nd. The soak OTA started rolling out between 20:00-21:00 PST. We shall see what happens.

What battery issue? I've had it since Saturday and my battery life has improved quite a bit from gingerbread

Got my notification about 8:30-9pm est so fingers still crossed but they are starting to cramp........
