I want to be able to hear a noise for a text notifcation while on a call. How?

I have a Droid Razr. When I'm on the phone I have to just keep looking at my phone to see if I got a text. How can I change it so I can hear something to notify me? Please help

Dont know how or if you can set or change it but mine already makes an audible tone in the ear piece while I am talking on the phone if I receive a text. I use Handcent SMS if that matters.
