i think i bricked it. help please.

i installed the MM all black theme and i cannot do anything with it now. everything force closes to the point i cannot even make it to rom manager to install my backup. is there a way to do this through adb shell? please someone help. i've searched so many places and i've no idea where to go. i boot into recovery and i'm not given the option to restore a backup.

if u can get into recovery at all, if u have a backup it should be there in nandroid and then restore if ur using clockwork recoverry

then restore your backup.
stabl4, you aren't given the option to restore backups through the recovery screen. i'm not sure why

Yeah, I was used to having that option on my droid 1.
thedymo, reboot your phone and set it up. you'll have to download rom manager again and restore it from there

To get to CWM, if you can get your phone to mount to your computer so you can drop a file onto it. . . go to the XDA page of how to flash CWM to the SF and grab the update.zip thats on there (for CWM) and drop that onto the root of your SD card.

After that, pull the battery and (this is easiest to do with back cover off) when you put it back in hold down the volume up and down buttons, then power on the device.

This is stock SF recovery. Select the update.zip option. This should bring you into CWM. Now you can do your restore.

IF that doesn't work or IF you can not get your phone to mount, let me know I have other options.

i actually ended up figuring it out. there were some help files on xda's website using odin to flash back to a stock /system and a stock kernel which got me to a point i could use the factory reset on the phone. very confusing process..
