I need help connecting phone to laptop!!

First off i went to motorola and downloaded the driver for phone. i thik it was A855. rebooted both phone and laptop. Hooked up USB and it still gave me a warning saying driver not found or working or something. Getting frustrated. I want to root. Ive tried the other ways but looks like i have to do it through my computer. unless somebody knows a better way.

Tried that earlier. didnt work!! it would start to download then stop. giving some reason saying phone not camp. and i still cant get USB to hook up phone to laptop to work.

go get pdaNET from the market. It works great. There are a few steps that you ened to follow in order.

I have the OG droid. And i cant get it hooked up with my USB.
