There are so many good things about the droid but its falling short on some of the most basic stuff. It really blows my mind.

Things I wish I had for the droid:
a gmail icon/widget: that counted unopened msgs and would bring me to my mail when clicked on

Same with facebook! also a working facebook app would be nice.

different backgrounds for different screens

the game touch grind. (only on iphone at the moment)

Whats your wish list??

Yahoo won't let you sync your free accounts. You have to pay $20 per year to yahoo. You're better off using Gmail or Hotmail.

I wish...

That people would stop complaining about what (they think) the DROID Doesn't Do, and revel in the joy of what it Does Oh So Very Well - Like:

Make And Receive Actual Phone Calls Without Fail

I don't understand why so many people complain about the facebook app. Facebook now has their "Touch" version of the site, the "Mobile" version, AND the "Full" version.

What's the big deal? Either you could have an app to do it or just bookmark it and go right to the FULL site. ??????

Am I missing something? And this is not coming from someone who doesn't use Facebook, I use Facebook not only for personal uses but for work as well and I probably spend a solid hour a day on their site on my phone.

It's nice to have a widget to show new posts....crap like that is what we miss...

That's what the notification icon at the top left is for. Swipe open notifications, click on new Gmail, and you're reading your Gmail. No real need to take up home screen space when new email notification is built in. Plus, in any app except full screen games you can also see that you have new email and jump to read it then come back to what you're doing without needing to find home, find widget, click, read, find home, find old app you were using, resume.

For me, the whole idea of NOT being home page icon centric is a huge advance of Android design over older ideas.
