I am new so don't tease too much but I wanted to try out a new Rom I picked Skyraider. I downloaded it and installed it and lost my apps etc. I ended up doing a recovery but I am now back to my old Rom. Did I miss a step? Do something wrong?

Did you make a backup of your apps? If not that's probably why your apps were missing. It sounds like you wiped data and cash. Backup your apps, install your new ROM, restore your apps. Its that easy. I personally like using Titanium Backup.

Easy as pie. Go into the market and redownload it. Then you're ready to roll

If you bought the paid version through Paypal, your license code is on your SD card. If you bought it through Market, it should recognize your paid version automatically.

You should be able to download the free version and then once you open it up it sees that you've paid. It has for me at least

There you go! Problem solved!!

There are so many ROMs out there with the best aspect of it all is you see which works best for you. I have been downloading all sorts of ROMs for months. Do a couple of backups as nandroid is your best friend and paying for the app ROM manager won't hurt either.
