I really honestly thought people like this were a myth.
I honestly thought this guy was joking.
He wasn't. From another forum.

"There's also a new Apple TV out. I just ordered one. Not sure why I need it, but it was only $199."

My reply:
"This is so odd to me. You have no idea why you want one? Then what made you get one?"

I was floored by his response. FLOORED.

"If there's a new Apple gadget, I feel deprived if I don't have one. I even bough an Apple watch a few weeks ago, but after a week I decided I didn't really need one, so I took it back."

De...prived?!? Really?!? OMG....

So.....you don't feel deprived if you don't buy every new Android / Google gadget that hits the market? [emoji12] [emoji3] I know someone similar to this...will buy anything Apple, just to have it, but may never use it.

That's excessive! What a waste of money, time and energy to get something you don't even want. But I know too many people like this. What's worse is some don't even have the means or money to be like that.
