I got to goofing with the new Superuser (2.2.2) and finally got myself into a state where the only thing I could do was use the 2.0.1 sbf. So now Im back to 2.1 and rooted but I think I will wait a bit before I do anymore playing 
Seems like kernel updates and the like are a bit too fast and furious so we will see when things slow down.
