I'm fairly certain, from other posts, that your notification sound is what controls "Droid" when your phone boots up.

In your actual phone settings, put the notification back to the "Droid" option and see if it fixes it.

I put it back to Droid and it worked fine after I made sure I had the sd card notification checked ..... but after loading Missed call it stopped.... I think I gotta go look back into the missed call app and see if it over rides the phone settings and uses its own... It has to be that....

It makes the Droid sound when you start up or plug in your Droid. I like hearing it every once in a while.

So it's just for the purpose alone?

Well, actually, the purpose would be to inform us that the SDCard is actually mounting correctly?

And how would you change this tone?

Under settings >> sound and display > you can set your default ringtone for the phone, Droid being one of them. This will be the default for all ringtones. then for each application such as sms or email ect you can change them under the setting inside of each app to what ever ringtone you want.

I dig how to change tones, I am just curious about this SDCard notification.

I know that about the sd card, as a matter of fact if you watch the top of the home screen it will say SD CARD and then the sound. I have that turned on, I have DROID picked as default ringtone but I get a strange ring ring ring sound on power up when the screen says SD CARD.....

The only thing I did to my phone was add Missed call app..... guess I am stuck without it or take off the missed call app.......:mad:
