We aren't sure what to make of this one. HTC is supposedly working on their first 64-bit Android phone to go with the 64-bit Android L coming soon. Unfortunately, from the leaked pics and specs of this device, it may not be something to get very excited about.

As you can see from the leaked pic above, the device has a fairly generic aesthetic, especially on the back cover. Also, the specs are very middling.

Here's a breakdown of the rumored "budget-friendly" internal specs,
  • 4.7-inch display with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels
  • 64-bit chip of unknown design
  • 5-megapixel rear-facing camera
  • Android 4.4.2 KitKat (upgrading to Android L)
In all fairness, perhaps HTC was already working on this device before Android L was announced and later decided to add in a 64-bit chip. Who knows?

We will keep an eye on this just in case anything changes.
