HTC Working on New Device and New Marketing Plan; a 'Selfie' Phone Codenamed Eye

HTC is supposedly working on a new phone (or new variation on one of their existing phones) which will be for AT&T. This new phone will also be the spear-head of their new marketing campaign. According to @evleaks, HTC's has a phone codenamed Eye which will be designed, marketed and positioned as the ultimate "Selfie" phone.

Here's the evleaks quote:

HTC is developing a handset with the codename Eye. Coming to AT&T in the US, with a fourth quarter release, HTC Eye will be positioned as the ultimate “selfie” phone.

It's an interesting direction to move in certainly, and it strikes us here at HQ as not too bad of an idea. If they can create some extra brand recognition by appealing to a popular segment of the consumer market, they could just make some headway upstream. What do you think?
