so far I really like the "Colors" and "Curtain Call" wallpapers and that life wallpaper is SICK! But it looks like it would drain my battery and give me an epileptic seizure at the same time.

Not a fan of the ringtones. I like more Standard tones, not the musicy stuff.

For the boot animation, what do I have to do to get it to work, be rooted? I hope not cuz I'm not rooting this phone

I'm sure you need root to change the boot animation.

Yes! Needs to be rooted. Boot animations is not something you can change without it.
