The former flagship and still powerful HTC Thunderbolt is due to receive a new update soon, which will bring it to version 2.11.605.9. Sadly, it isn't Ice Cream Sandwich, which would have been amazing; however, it still brings with it some bug fixes and new features. Here's a breakdown of what's in store:
Device Features
Apps & Widgets
- Resolved issue with contact ringtones.
- Improvements to notification volume.
- Updated local streaming playback mechanism when network connection is not available.
- Updated Twitter API for Peep/FriendStream.
- Clock app included in All App list.
- Improvements in Exchange ActiveSync.
Verizon didn't give word on how soon we should start seeing it, but if you want to keep an eye on things, you can go to to "Settings > Software update > Check new" to check things manually.
