I think the rep misinformed you. I know back when the D1 came out this is how I got it. I went to BB and using a Dell.com ad was able to get BB to price match my D1 and bought it and was only 1 year in on a two year family plan. Before I did this I already talked to Wirefly and they were offering the same, but I just wanted to get from a local store. I do remember at that time there was some people doing the same and were told that they couldn't because the rep just was informed enough to know how to work the system.

So unless they have changed they should have direct access to Verizon system. Like if you went to a Verizon retailer over a corp store. BB has the same system. So if you have another BB I would check them out, or if you got spare time try talking to a different rep or cell phone dept manager. Good luck. I am personally waiting for it to hit the store so I can just charge it to my cell bill and worry about the cost later..

yea, when I talked to the Vzn rep today, she seemed pretty shocked BB was able to release it earlier

Pre ordered my 'bolt this morning at 11 am when they opened today... the mobile manager said they should be ready for release on the 14th. They are taking pro orders first come first serve so I will be the first person he calls when phone gets released

Meanwhile wouldn't Verizon waive activation when ordered online and I didn't think they charged full retail tax, either- when I ordered my Droid X CPO, there was like a $10 tax.

doesn't matter to me because I am paying full retail and they pricing is the same as big reds corporate stores are charging so if best buy charges an activation fee so what...

Transfer upgrade? Transfer from what? Is there something different then new contract, upgrade from a one year, or upgrade from an annual on a 2 year with primary line?]

Yeah not sure, but if that was the case then it would depend on who you talk to.. I have done that in the past,(back in Razr days) but it really isn't supposed to happen. I was able back when NE2 came out to transfer primary to my wifes line.. Use the $100 for NE2 and then transfer primary back to my line and use the NE2 again.. I have also changed the primary status just to use the annual upgrade on a 2 year family plan. I haven't tried in past couple years, but I know it is not supposed to happen like that and they are supposed to stop you. Somewhere back in the years I heard they might do that once for a contract term, but not sure..

Yes, you can transfer upgrades. Just did that on one of my lines.

Yep preordered mine also, and the guy also told me that they are planning on having them in on the 14th and I am scheduled to pick it up at 1

BB will also transfer from primary to another.
