HTC TB, Sounds Amazing But....

...will it actually be good as far as the PHONE feature?

I'm a new member that is looking to make the big jump from a Voyager to the TB. Aside from how awesome the things are the TB comes with, anyone hear if it actually is a decent "phone"?

I make and receive tons of calls on my cell phones. Losing calls would be a problem.

Was just curious.

The Voyager was one of the worst phones I have ever had for call quality and signal strength. So I really hope the TB is better then that, my Droid 1 is way better then the Voyager ever was.

The voyager was definitely not the greatest for signal strength but I didn't lose many calls. they must've been hanging on by a thread.

But I'm really excited about the upgrade, now if the dang phone would just show itself!

Surprised the Voyager had so much trouble, my LG Dare has only dropped calls or had issues with audible stuff when I was in bomb shelters (literally).

My Voyager has been great for me...never an issue with lost calls or signal strength. It's the best phone I've ever owned and I love the physical keypad...hope I can get used to a virtual keypad. My only gripe is that my webmail app causes the phone to freeze sometimes and I have to remove the battery to reboot it. Functionally it has been great. I am looking forward to all of the neat, new features I'll be getting with the TB.

I played with this phone at CES and it blows every other device out the water. Still patiently waiting

Voyager to a Thunderbolt.

Dear lord - I fear you're going to be consumed by what you can do with your new phone compared to your old one. Enjoy it.

Haha, it is pretty exciting. Only issue I have now is that the TB isn't here and the Voyager is dying. I may 1 year it with a Droid X for now and have to TB it next year.

Oh well, I think going to a Droid X from a Voyager is still a large jump.

I think you will be very happy with any of the Droids coming from a Voyager. However, if you can hold out about one more week I think you will be able to get the TB.

Agree any Droid will be a jump. I went from Voyager to the D1 back in 09 and man what a difference. The X is great, but agree if you can hold just a little longer the TB will be awesome..

I'm in a similar situation. Moving from my enV3 to a smart phone. That I'll use mostly for calls, texting, a little web searching and reading Kindle books.

I live in an area that's sure to be last to get 4G. But because of the Kindle app, I like the 4.3 inch screen. And I like the Sense UI best compared to Samsung's and Moto's.

Any reason not to get the TB, even though I won't use it in 4G?
