Chock up the Unlocked and Developer Edition versions of the HTC One on the list of devices to receive the Android 4.4.2 update. The upgrade started rolling out OTA to these devices overnight. This update ticks in at 312MB and will bring the device up to version 4.19.1540.4. An enhanced version of HTC Sense 5.5 comes along for the ride as well.

This includes a few feature enhancements including the following:
  • Do not disturb function
  • Updates to Blinkfeed - a quick access menu and the ability to turn it off entirely
  • New UI elements in the system settings that are focused around the location settings including a master switch and battery usage info
  • Updated gallery app
  • Cleaned up music app
  • Easier lockscreen widgets management
The Android 4.4.2 update makes some noticeable changes as well. Here's a breakdown:
  • Security enhancements
  • Cloud Print services
  • Full screen immersive mode – where the bottom notification bar hides just as the top does for a complete full screen experience
  • You can even pull down from the top of the screen to display both top and bottom system bars on top of the app - this way you don't need to exit a full screen app to view your notifications - very handy!
  • And More...
Sound off if you have received the update and what you think of the changes.
