How to unroot razr rooted with Droid Razr Utility 1.7

Droid Razr Utility 1.4 has an unroot option

there isn't one on 1.7

I need to mail my phone back in the morning because of a warranty issue and I need to unroot it.

I can't seem to find instructions in other threads.

Matt took out the option to unroot in Utility 1.7 and on, so if you want to unroot you will need to try Utility version 1.6.

Or you could try VooDoo root keeper, temporarily unroot and then delete the backup.

hmm i don't have 1.6 i'll look for it.

if i do send my phone in rooted will they not accept it?

It is in the Hacks section.

No way to tell for sure, if they don't check it then it won't matter but there is no way to tell how they will handle it once it gets there. Better safe than sorry.

You mean 1.6?

1.6 is not made to install root for ICS, but there is a chance it could work to remove root for ICS. Again I could be wrong and it won't work, in that case you would need to use the Fastboot files to get rid of root and then just do a FDR after that.

ican't get this to work

now my phone just doesn't work at all

sweet

i really shouldn't have assumed that he wouldn't take the unroot option out
