How to unflash

I want to unflash the liberty rom and just return my phone back to how it was when I bought it, no particular reason, just want the phone back to stock now

You would have to sbf back to stock using red lite on your computer. I am currently on my phone so I cannot direct you to a link but if you search you should find something.

the rsd lite wont recognize my phone

In the notification bar.
Pull it down.
Goto the usb connected icon.
Make sure pc mode hit done or ok I forget.
also I click line 1 and click the empty window where phone should be listed.
It will see your phone bro. You just need to get it done once to see how it works.

Another way.
Get the phone to the factory boot loader screen.
Rsd picks up on that mode every time.

it isnt showing up anywhere. How do I get to the factory boot loader screen?
I am on win 7 x64 if that helps

Im on xp so my help stops here sorry.

Bootloader
hold power and home and volume keys all down.
Wait about 10 sec.
My phone will be in factory bootloader.
Then the phone pops into rsdlite in a snap every time.
But that's xp.

I would also just try to reboot phone then plug in usb.
