Don't want to unflash!

i was wondering if any of you could answer this for me. my droid is not rooted and is flashed to cricket. would flashing it undo my flash. the folks who did the flashing said it could happen, of course they said using mms could unflash it too, but i've had no problems. i just don't have the money to get my phone reflashed. thanks in advance for sharing!
