How to silence camera shutter after 4.3 update?

I don't have an S4, but a friend does, and they can't figure out how to silence the camera after the update today. Anybody know how?

I think you can't with the stock Camera app, unless one mutes the entire phone. It's one of those privacy things.

Some 3rd party camera apps allow the shutter sound to be turned off.

I used Tasker. It's not a free app but I created a profile, added my camera apps to it, made the task silent mode in audio.
When the camera starts, the phone goes into silent mode, when I finish with the camera the phone goes back to normal volume.
