How to Root DX and add Custom ROMs

Hey all,

I'm sure this has been posted a hundred times before on here. I started looking through some old posts but I couldn't find any clear instructions on how to Root a Stock 2.2 Droid X. I'm a bit new to this - thanks for your patients!!!

Once I've done that I'd also like to add some custom ROMs and remove some of the bloatware. I've seen the bloatware thread and that's pretty straight forward.

Any help would be greatly apprecitated!!! THANKS!!!!!
