I don't know about being subcribed to EVERY post on the forum, but when you respond to a post, you are signed up to receive responses to that thread, unless you change you frequency of notification under Additional Options. If you hit "REPLY" and scroll down to Additional Options, you can select the type of notification you elect to receive or not receive. You will see your default notification mode in the Additional Options. I think you get a notification so long as you log in and continue to view the thread.
To globally change your thread notification setting:
Go to your USER CONTROL PANEL (click "Private Messages" by your name in the upper left corner)
Go to the CONTROL PANEL (left side of screen)
EDIT OPTIONS
MANAGING & NOTIFICATIONS
under DEFAULT THREAD SUBSCRIPTION MODE select your frequency of notification.
Go to your user CP. Look on the left for Edit Options. Scroll down to default thread describing mode. Click on the drop down menu. Select do not subscribe.
