How to hide an app?

I did this before (add an app to the 'hidden' list in apps) with bloatware, but can't figure out how I did it! Can someone clue me in??

Long press the app icon a list of options will show up..

the bottom right of my app drawer i have like 3 vertical dots >hide app > select apps to hide

Actually, it isn't. I'm running the stock Moto, and your method doesn't apply. The long press does work.

Doesn't work on all apps mainly only the stock bloat. I wish it applied to any and all apps.

With ics you can actually disable those same apps instead of just hiding..
