How to disable "Disconnected" message

So I have a Droid 2, and whenever I take it out of the charger/ home dock/ car dock I get the "Disconnected: Unplug your charger from the outlet to conserve energy" message. This message is unnecessary and unsightly, and I would like to know how to disable it. Any ideas?

Wrong you are, I will see it the next time I pull it out of a dock. The problem goes deeper than this though now that I think about it, it comes down to the fact that the phone is doing a lot of unnecessary stuff on it's own.. like running apps in the background, which I am not allowed to uninstall (nonsense like Amazon MP3)

I need to root it and do some housecleaning, figuring out a good way to make backups first
