How to block data usage on Droid X?

I only have about 5mb of data usage remaining and i was wondering how i could block my Droid X from using the rest of the data. I would prefer not having to download an app because VZ could charge me for going over the data usage plan.

You can turn off the data in the wireless and networks settings but how do you only have 5mb left? The phone data is unlimited even if you use the mobile hotspot. Only the mobile hotspot has capped data.

I don't have a Droid X but I assume the settings are the same. You can go to Settings-->Wireless & Networks ---> Mobile Networks and choose - Data Enabled and make sure that the check box for that is unchecked. Then turn on WiFi and you're good to go.

I'm assuming you have the 150MB data plan? I've been strongly considering going with that plan but since the Droid 1 doesn't play nicely with most Secured WiFi hotspots, I'm keeping unlimited data for now.
