How to backup apps AND settings, between droid 2 & droid x

I have the droid 2 switching to the droid x. I want to back up the apps and settings from the 2 and bring it over to the x. I have titianium backup. But my concern is the fact that they are 2 seperate models.

If you use the same Google account, your paid apps will show up in the market and some or all of your free apps (if you have it enabled to back them up) will also automatically install. I'd still recommend an actual backup, like titanium if you're rooted or my backup pro if you're not. If you have appbrain, you can synchronize it with their system and at least get the apps back with a sync on the new phone too. The 2 different models might have some effect on the available apps, but not a huge one.
