How to add contacts to a group?

I created a new group and want to add contacts from my contact list...anyone know how to do this without having to re-enter all the contacts in? Should be an easy task...

It's Google's Gmail support page and seems to have what you'll need. Hope it helps.

Adding contacts to groups

Did you ever get an answer to your question? I've been searching for this answer and can't get detailed, step by step instructions on how to do this. I really thought I was going to like this phone. Now I'm wondering....

Disclaimer: This assumes you have GB installed as that is what I'm looking at. I can't imagine Froyo being much different though so.......

Alright peeps here it is.


TO CREATE NEW GROUP
Go to contacts, choose groups icon (2 silhouettes right beneath contacts icon), hit menu, new group...name your group....click OK....start typing the name of the first contact....lets say, Tom.....or just start clicking the check boxes along the left side of the screen until you have chosen all the contacts you want added to this group....click done at the bottom of the screen.....congratulate yourself on creating a group of contacts.....enjoy....rinse...repeat....


TO ADD TO EXISTING GROUP
To add contacts to an existing Group....from contacts....click the groups icon....press and hold on the group you want to edit.....choose edit group......click menu key.....choose add member....
