how do you get transparent icons?

i see a bunch of people with differnt looking icons on their desktops. transparent single color icons - usually white-ish/clear like the bottom row in launcher pro. how do you get these?

There's icon packs people make on here (just do a search for icons) and they use bettercut to add them to their desktop. Or if you're using launcherpro you can use the custom icon option and find the image.

the custom icon option is only for the bottom row (dock) right?

yeah, but you can also use folder organizer to change the icons. folder organizer= awesome.
