How do you delete Yahoo Messenger messages on Droid X?

[I have Yahoo Messenger installed on my Droid X. How do I delete the Yahoo messenger messages?

I am not familiar with the Yahoo! Messenger app, but have you tried to long press on the messages or use the settings key to see if you get a pop up menu...
