How do the Droid 2 Global power/outlet Adapters Work?

Does anyone know how the international adapters that came in the D2G box actually work with the phone?
Looking at the adapters, there doesn't seem to be a way to connect your phone to them, so how exactly do they work?

Fold the plug into travel mode and then the adapters just slide on.

Be that as it may, do you know if I need a voltage converter as well or does the adapter take care of that?

Your charger should indicate what it can handle. Read the specs on your charger.
