How do I sort recent phone list

When I goto look for a recent number that I've dialed. All of my recent are individual everytime that person calls or I call them. Is there a way to set it so whoever I talk to or when I talk to them is grouped instead of being in my recent listed individually everytime?thanx

You can press the contact icon on the right. Then the menu button. Then press display group. There you can group your contacts by friends, family, work, etc. I have over 200 numbers and this is very helpful to find a number in a hurry.
