How do I setup and use Bluetooth?

Your phone can connect to other devices wirelessly, using Bluetooth technology.
Turn on and connect to a Bluetooth device
To turn on Bluetooth and connect a Bluetooth hands-free headset or car kit:
  1. On the Home screen, press the Menu key.
  2. Touch Settings
  3. Touch Wireless & networks
  4. Touch Bluetooth to turn it On
  5. Touch Bluetooth settings
  6. Touch Scan for devices (make sure your headset is in pairing mode).
  7. Your phone scans for available Bluetooth devices
  8. Touch the Bluetooth device to select it
  9. Type the PIN if needed (PIN is usually 0000, or 1234)
  10. Touch the device name again to connect to it.
Reconnect devices

To automatically reconnect your phone with a paired device, simply turn on the device.To manually reconnect your phone with a paired device, touch the device name in the Bluetooth devices list.

Disconnect devices

To automatically disconnect your phone from a paired device, simply turn off the device.
To manually disconnect your phone from a paired device, touch the device name in the devices list, then press Menu > Disconnect.

Changing the phone name
The phone name identifies your phone in a Bluetooth network.
  1. Make sure that you have turned Bluetooth on (See steps above)
  2. On the Wireless controls screen, touch Bluetooth settings > Device name
  3. Enter the name for your phone in the dialog box, then touch OK
Transfer files using Bluetooth
Your phone has the ability to send pictures via Bluetooth.
  1. Press the Camera key, or from the Applications menu, touch Camera
  2. Press the Menu key.
  3. Touch Gallery
  4. Select the picture you want to send
  5. Touch Share
  6. Touch Bluetooth
  7. Your phone scans for available Bluetooth devices
  8. Touch the device to select it
  9. Follow the onscreen prompts on both products to complete transfer.

The following Bluetooth profiles are supported:
