How do I make the startup silent

How can I make it so that when I turn on my phone it doesn't make that loud noise. I am running apex 1.4.1.

Make sure your phone is on vibrate (sound off) when your turning it off. The only thing I feel is the slight vibrate, no loud noise.

Yeah mine is on vibrate/silent mode. It would only make a slight vibrate when I was on the stock firmware, but since I flashed it to this rom no matter what setting I have it on it still makes a loud noise when I start it up.

Interesting - I installed 1.4.0 (which I believe is supposed to have a boot up sound as well) but my phone has never made any noises during boot up, and my phone is not set to vibrate/silent.

So is there any way I can shut this off or not? Other wise I will just reflash with the backup I made which has to stock firmware for the droid 2

Cool thank you I figured out by reading some FAQ on it. But at the moment I reloaded my back up to stock firmware. My battery is low so I am going to wait until I get home. So once I get into this toolbox, will there be an option that says, mute startup? If not how could I go about finding the setting to turn it off?

Thank you

It's a text menu, but straightforward. There are separate options to disable the THX sound and animation. I've only disabled the animation, but that made it silent.

Awesome, I flashed Apex a couple weeks ago and immediately went back to Liberty when I couldn't figure out how to turn off this sound. I'm going to flash it again tonight and check it out some more, now that I know how to turn off that sound.
