How do I hide the Status Bar on top of homescreen on my LG Vortex?

Have launcherpro and did it once but can't remember how and can't find the info. Thought sure I read it here.

I'm a newb so put up with me for a bit until I get this phone set up the way I want it. Thanks for that. Hoping for quick reply, mods? You exist here? Point me to a good LG Vortex soon? TIA?
