How do I get Barnacle or Wifi Tether to work?

I'm gonna be leaving later today and I'll be on the road for a while. So I was wondering how I can get either of these 2 apps to work. I can always get my computer to find them and then I enter in the WEP code but then it won't give me internet access. My computer tells me that it's connected and everything but that it's still searching for internet access. What am I doing wrong?

Are you rooted? Uninstall and re-install. Allow Superuser Permissions

Yes, I'm rooted. Both apps are allowed under my SU Permissions. I'll try to re-install them and see if that helps.

Make sure to disable the blutooh option on the app.
