Hotmail Email Problem

I have my Hotmail account set up in my Email application for the Droid. It retrieves new emails well, but for some reason after an hour or so (I set up the time to check for emails after 1 hour) it retrieves emails that I have already checked and also past emails before I even had a Droid. Is this a bug in the Email software of the Droid?

Also, how safe is the Email software on the Droid?

POP3 does not work well on the droid. It is extremely buggy. Check the sig and star the issue.
