I have sexed newly hatched chicks before (not sexting

Twelve years ago, I worked at a farm that raised 70,000 ring neck pheasants every year for hunting lodges. Roosters and hens had to be raised in separate pens to keep them from fighting - (they were sexting)! We would remove the trays of fresh hatchlings from the incubator / hatcher and look at the side of the head around the eye to determine male or female. Sadly, for me it was a $10 / hr job and not $60K per year.
