PE is one I have been wanting to try. I can't really decide between LGB and PE...it's tough. I hear great things about PE as far as stability and so on....but LGB is so nice...I dunno.

I know....I keep thinking about doing just that....but it's my wife's phone and the nagging will be non stop until it's fixed should something go wrong.

ill check em out. Which rom is the simplest? I always think simple is best, personally. All that hoopla, I tried ultimate droid once- worked ok on my d1 but my moms d2 not so much....

You have to remember that these ROM's are specific to each device. So if you used a D1 version on a D2 it is going to have problems.

I can't answer simplicity....I think they can all be as simple or complicated as you want to make em. By default settings LGB is fast and sweet.

ok take it slow on each app. u don't want ur phone to freeze on u. so root first with z4 and then bootstrap recovery. let it work a bit first. then install one ROM and see if ur phone takes it. im just saying to be cautious. take ur time

goodness, when i hit the post button there was only a few posts but my internet slowed to a crawl, i walk away and come back to this lol. anyway i cant really speak to which rom to go with, i've never used a droid 1 so i can't really say much other than the fact that i've heard good things about lgb. i will say though that the rooting process is more complicated on the droid 1 and you'll need to have a handy dandy pc. if you are still on that step i can grab you a link.
