Qualcomm chipsets last year included a feature which would allow you to give yourself hours of charge in just a few minutes. This year Qualcomm has included the next generation of Quick Charge, QC3.0. The new rapid charging technology can charge your phone faster and with better efficiency causing less damage to your battery over time.
For now there are just a few devices that support Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. The Xiaomi Mi 5, HTC A9, and the LG G5 each support QC3.0. The Galaxy S7 includes Samsung's proprietary rapid charging tech but does not include QC3.0. As the year progresses I am sure the list will grow substantially. Is Quick charging important to you?
