Helpp!!! Black screen of death!!!

Just downloaded an app and for whatever reason my screen went balck and i cant do anything with it i took the battery out and put it in and same with the sd card still the same thng i know its not the display because i can turn it on and the intro screen works... I dont know what to do any suggestions would be greatly appriechiated!!!!!

First you have to tell us about your phone. R u rooted? Have you added anything to your phone and what is the app?

had that happen to my screen after i downloaded power manager, tried to wipe data, factory reset, retore the system thru odin and nothing worked, took it to verizon and straight up told him that i downloaded an app from the market and this happened and he went to the back and brought me out a new one no questions asked

I had SOD problems but tracked it down to a rogue app: Youmail, doesn't work with Superclean.
