Help!

Hello, my name is Matt. I am very new to this rooting thing. I currently have done the one click root. I looked into shadowRom. I flashed the ROM and the gapps but when I rebooted I lost certain apps like gmail and palringo. So I recovered the one click root. Can anyone help me? I have the Droid Eris. I am mostly looking to overclock.

Do you know why gmail and certain apps arent showing up with shadowRoot? When i click on the shortcuts it says link has been removed or is no longer available.
