I'm looking to screen capture/ shoot on my droid x any advice would be great

Where do I find that?

-Go to Settings > Applications
-Check the Unknown Sources box (Ignore the warning)
-Go to Development
-Enable USB Debugging
-Exit Settings to Home screen
-Download Z4root
-Drag down notification bar when download completes to install
-Open Z4root
-Select Permanent Root and it roots your phone for you (If it stays on "Running Exploit To Obtain Root Access" for longer than 2 minutes, back out, reboot your phone, then try again)
-Phone should reboot when its done
-You should see an app called SuperUser in your app drawer
-Grab Drocap2 or ShootMe from the market and snap away
