I'm at the point of tears now!! I haven't been able to find the SBF for Droid 2 v2.2.

Here's what happened :

My phone was rooted & I had the Fission ROM on it (LOVED IT), but trying to show off in what I could do I put the UD ROM on it, ended up not liking it as much as Fission. I had also been reading that some people were getting updates to 2.3 so I decided "Hey, I want that too!". Stupid me, I unrooted my phone, while the UD ROM was still on it, after I unrooted, I did a factory reset. All that did was delete my settings and data. It kept the ROM on there. So I tried to re root my phone, I tried so many different ways, and it will not root.

I have been trying to get into the recovery but all that does is let me do a factory reset, which does nothing. Did some research and found a tutorial on how to flash my phone with RSD Lite. Only problem is, it says FAIL every single time I try to flash it. I think it might be because I am trying it with a 2.3 sbf file and not 2.2. I've looked EVERYWHERE for the 2.2.

I even tried using that little droid2.jpg picture that's like 230KB but I have NO idea how to use it! I've installed winrar and all these other things that I have no idea how to use. Any and all help is really REALLY appreciated!

You must use 2.3.20. 2.2 will fail every single time.

- Hold "X", boot into recovery, wipe cache/data
- Reboot
- Hold the "Up" arrow to boot into bootloader
- Flash 2.3.20

If your bootloader is saying anything other than "OK to Program," let me know.

I've been using 2.3.20, I did an overwrite of the file you provided and it still gave me a FAIL. And it did say "OK to Program".

Could it possibly be bricked? This is my 1st Droid and my 1st time having issues like this, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

First, download the updated Motorola drivers.

Then, follow this...

OK. I tried loading the bootloader SBF but it fails instantly. And I have the correct drivers installed and the right RSD Lite. :( Did I just honestly screw my phone up?
