Help with volume control

Yesterday I downloaded ringtones from Zedge. How do I set the volume of the ringtones on my phone. They are always a maximum volume. Using the rocker bar on the side of the phone does not work.

Go to settings>sound>then tap on Volumes at the top and there you can set volumes for several items including ringtones.
