Help with nomedia file

I don't want my music program to keep listing my audiobooks, which I keep in a separate folder. I created a .nomedia file in the audiobooks folder, but stock music program still lists them. Only thing that works is naming folder .audiobooks and then my audiobooks app can't see folder.

Well, I just decided to use a music player that lets me define a music folder, along with my audio book program that does the same. No overlap.
