Help with Droid X to IPad??

I just got my iPad with wifi, since mainly used in house.

I need help on what app and connecter I need to use the 3G hotspot on the road if needed. We travel in car for hockey and going on a trip this weekend, so wondering.

It is non-rooted and will not root either.

you could root your Droid X and then wireless tether to your ipad. an iPad should be able to connect to the X once it's wireless tethered if you don't want to get the hotspot plan.

have you tried pdaNET it has a free trial but after that i think its 10.99 or something like that.

and just out of curiosity why are you against rooting? there are no adverse effects to rooting.
