Help with a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4

My contract ended, I'm going to a prepaid carrier from Verizon.

Do I need to have my phone unlocked because it's an LTE device or can I just put a SIM card in it and change the settings?

Well, i don't really have that to the point idea but I think you are going to need a unlocking code before putting the SIM card inside o_O let just wait a bit more while until other members came up with something more over this ... :)

I'm not 100% sure how it works, but the s4 is a Global phone, meaning you can use it outside of Verizon's network. You would need to get the device unlocked and also the other carriers SIM for it to work I think?

I'm pretty sure just popping in a SIM from another network won't work though as it's locked in Verizon's network.

If you have a VZ phone, it does not have a sim and can not be used on a GSM network
Actually, Verizon 4g LTE devices use SIM cards. Just their 3g devices don't use SIM cards.

Since you're all the way in Thailand and nowhere near a Verizon (to my knowledge at least), just thought I'd give you a friendly update :)
